About This Wire Work's Whisky
A stout finished single malt English whisky... but not just any stout. Necessary Evil is a Derbyshire-crafted imperial stout (ABV of 13%), in this instance aged in oak PX hogsheads by White Peak's friends up the road at Thornbridge Brewery. Wire Works Whisky Necessary Evil Finish is a proper Derbyshire collaboration.
White Peak first matured their Wire Works whisky in fresh, first fill ex-bourbon barrels for a minimum of 3 years before disgorging the whisky and finishing for several months in the stout seasoned PX oak casks from Thornbridge.
Last year's release of Wire Works Necessary Evil Finish won a Gold Medal in the 2022 World Whisky Masters.
